COLMAR/PARIS - The two main contenders in Group B in the French team competition have increased their lead over the two other teams. Andernos defeated Colmar 7-1, Morangis was the better of Courbevoie 8-0. Eddy Leppens was the best player in this round. The Belgian took the match against young French promise Maxime Panaia 40-18 in 17 innings.

Andernos ran to victory with its two leading players Nikos Polychronopoulos and Roland Forthomme. The Greek defeated Murat Naci Coklu 40-37 in 25, Forthomme beat Dion Nelin 40-26 in 25. In the other matches, Mottet won against Riotto 40-30 in 24, Barbeillon played a draw against Efler, 40-40 in 30.

The Belgians Eddy Merckx and Eddy Leppens fired up the match against Courbevoie in which the Paris players were unthreatened. Merckx defeated Echeverry 40-24 in 23, Leppens was superior in the match against Panaia, 40-18 in 17. The French Roux and Reverchon respectively won against Murillo and Delforge.

Andernos played 1.538 team average, Colmar 1.538.

In the other match Morangis played 1.384, Courbevoie 0.760.
