PORTO - The eightfold Portuguese champion Rui Costa and reigning world champion Torbjörn Blomdahl are showing up in a training match against each other this Saturday (17th of July) that can be followed live. The match is broadcast by the internal FC Porto TV channel. It is an initiative of the billiards chairman of FC Porto, well-known organizer Alipio. He responded to Blomdahl's stay in FC Porto arena for two weeks, playing the UMB Challenge in his home club and is treated by the FC Porto physio team for tendonitis in the upper arm.

The FC Porto football team became Portugal's champion this week. Rui Costa: ''We are all very happy with that, because it is very important for us because of the money that comes in from the Champions League.'' 60-year-old Rui Manuel Costa is playing for FC Porto for thirty years in the team that achieved international successes with Dani Sánchez, Torbjörn Blomdahl, Dick Jaspers and Semih Sayginer. "I work in the club myself," says Rui Costa, who won eight individual Portuguese titles and 15 league titles with the team.''

FC Porto is one of the regular organizers on the UMB and CEB calendar, including World Cups, World Championships and the European Cup for teams. Rui Costa: "We all hope the situation will be back to normal after COVID 19. Then, under Mr. Alipio's leadership, we will bring back the traditional package of organizations."

The training match between Torbjörn Blomdahl and Rui Costa starts at 5:00 pm Portuguese time. The FC Porto TV channel can be downloaded via play store and the FC Porto app.
