World Cup starts with 13 Turkish winners

ANTALYA - The next two days in the Antalya World Cup are reserved for Jacob Sörensen, Peter Ceulemans, Gwendal Maréchal, who were among the best players in the European championship for national teams. Therese Klompenhouwer, Vietnamese Xuan Cuong Ma, Michael Nilsson, Jose-Maria Mas, O Takeshima and Brian Knudsen are other known players who are early in the schedule, with some Turks like Murat Tüzül and and Gökhan Salman. The first session in the preliminaries, on Monday, was concluded with 13 Turkish winning players in top sixteen and one Vietnamese, Huynh Phuong Linh Nguyen, who led the rankings, the Czech Adam Baca and Spaniard Jordi Garriga in the lower part.

The Turkish dominance was impressive with a rather unknown Hayri Altuntaslar as the best of them. The Vietnamese leader remained unbeaten with 1,875 and 6 as the best run, Turkish number two Altuntaslar scored 4 points, 1,818 and the best run of the day: 13. Adam Kulak, Tarik Yavuz, Ahmet Koseoglu and Recep Bulut are among the players who show themselves in their own country for at least for two days. Gökhan Salman, Murat Tüzül and Turgay Orak come to strengthen the field after two days of preliminary rounds.

The games start at 11.00 Turkish time (9.00 Western Europe), the final round is at 18.30 (16.30).
